MTA train operator brutally attacked in the Bronx

An MTA train operator is recovering after being attacked inside a subway station in the Bronx on Friday night.

The incident happened around 10:15 p.m. in the East 177th Street-Parkchester station.

Police say the 58-year-old victim was advising passengers that the No. 6 train had reached the last stop when he was attacked.

The suspect allegedly spat in the victim’s face, then punched him in the face multiple times, knocked him to the ground, and kicked him before fleeing, according to the NYPD.

The victim was taken to a local hospital in serious but stable condition.

Nice lightning-fast ducking move by the filthy spitting scumbag to gain the upper hand. And wtf's the craic with transport officials carrying bats as weapons, though?
