ARLINGTON, Va. — An investigation involving a burst water pipe at George Mason University's Arlington, Virginia, campus has been closed after the person responsible came forward, police said.
The incident happened just after midnight on March 23, inside a parking garage at the university's Mason Square campus in Arlington, where a water pipe was damaged and caused flooding.
Investigators previously said surveillance video showed someone trying to do a pull-up on the pipe, causing it to rupture.
In an update, police said the person turned himself in and accepted responsibility for the damage.
