They were right.

A new court filing claims the ATF couldn’t tie the fatal bullet to the rifle linked to Tyler Robinson.

Read that again.

• The bullet that killed Charlie Kirk… not matched to Tyler Robinson's rifle

• The weapon they said was used… now in question

Fucking morons. The bullet was deformed by hitting the plate he was wearing. They never said it wasn't the bullet. They said it wasn't able to be matched to the rifle due to the deformity.

Forensic said they cannot yet CONFIRM the bullet markings match the Mauser 98 rifle used by the shooter.

They never said, "KILL SHOT” BULLET DOES NOT MATCH TYLER ROBINSON’S RIFLE".

@McCunty They didn't. Sleight of hand with the wording is deceptive. "Bullet does NOT match to rifle" vs "unable to definitively match the bullet to rifle" has very different context. If the bullet has severe deformation or fragmentation or has insufficient rifling markings than the bullet cannot definitively be match to the specific rifle. That doesn't mean the bullet was NOT shot from that specific rile.
