Streamer Clavicular arrested by the Fort Lauderdale Police Department after he appeared to fire shots at a dead alligator in the Everglades.

- Clavicular was arrested on battery charges.

- Bond was set at $1000.

- The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says they are “aware of a video depicting individuals in the Everglades on an airboat who appear to be discharging firearms at an alligator. FWC officers are looking into the incident…”

@Comfortably_numb You can legally shoot a dead animal on your own property as long as it is not protected species. Protected species require permit to shoot regardless if they are alive or dead.

@Voodoo333333 The “dead alligator” part is irrelevant "legally". It is the location and authorization to discharge the firearm is what matter. Some parts of the Everglades are national parks, and the firearm discharge is prohibited in that area. And other parts of Everglades that are outside of the national park must follow hunting and firearm regulations. Bottom line, there is no specific Florida law that makes a shooting a dead alligator by itself a crime.

@FacelessMen So if someone is being chased by an animal nigaturd in the everglades and the animal nigaturd is about to catch you and rob you and kill you, you can't shoot him to defend yourself in that area, that sounds bull lol Florida is big on self defense, I kind of doubt that all kinds of weapons discharge would be for bidden.

Bad news guys, Killing an alligator in Fla. W/O a license is a $5000 fine and up to 5 years in prison as well as confiscation of all equipment involved like Guns, boat, motor even your hip waders. The gator being already dead would have to be proved.
