The incident began when a young couple attempted to sit in a newly opened space on the crowded train. They believed nearby passengers, including an older man, were deliberately taking up space to prevent them from sitting.

The young man became loud and agitated, threatening to slap someone on the train. The older man stood up, confronting him and accepting the challenge, leading to a physical altercation between the two men.

During the ongoing fight, the young woman slapped the older man on the top of his head. She then attempted to mace (pepper spray) the older man, but accidentally sprayed herself instead, missing her target.

The fight broke up after commuters mixed in and separated the two people
