The Odyssey (8471 Beverly Boulevard) was a prominent Los Angeles all-ages gay-friendly nightclub open from 1976 through the early 1980s

The club was known for being open until 5 a.m. with no alcohol served, leading to a "bring your own" culture that, for many, included illegal drugs. It was closely linked to notorious Hollywood power player and adult film figure Eddie Nash, often mentioned in discussions regarding the drug-fueled scene surrounding the Wonderland Murders of 1981
The "creepy" or tawdry reputation grew from reports of constant noise, intense drug use, and teenagers (some as young as 13 or 14) engaging in public sexual acts

After years of neighborhood backlash and efforts by local residents to shut it down, the Odyssey's permit was revoked in 1985. Shortly after, on March 29, 1985, the club burned down in a suspected arson, and it was never rebuilt, later being replaced by a strip mall.
