If it was legal to shoot below the waist to hobble criminals, the mortality rate of encounters with mental people would plumet. One of the few things south america gets right.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) released graphic video Friday showing when a deputy shot and killed a man in crisis who was armed with a knife in the far East Valley last July.
According to the MCSO incident report, deputies were called out to an apartment complex on Broadway Road just west of Crismon Road around 11 p.m. on July 27 after Joseph Cannon called 911, saying he was going to kill himself and said he had a knife.
When deputies arrived, body camera video from one deputy showed Cannon near the front door of his apartment. “Joseph, hands up buddy. We just want to help you,” one deputy said.
Body camera video from a second deputy, who drove the first deputy, showed him going to the trunk of the patrol SUV and grabbing a less-lethal 40mm launcher. He moved to the passenger side of the vehicle with the 40mm launcher in his hands, behind the first deputy.

That sound, as the casings hit the floor, has gotta be one of the most beautiful sounds on this planet. Especially if it's caused by a scumbag.
