This is the terrifying moment an everyday arrest turned into a horror attack as a police officer was hurled down a flight of stairs leaving him fearing he’d been paralysed. After landing on his head with Jack Kennedy on top of him, Northumbria Police officer PC Mills was left in terrible pain and feared he may have had his neck broken and be left needing a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Newcastle Crown Court heard how the officer, responding to a call, was walking up some stairs towards Kennedy when the thug exploded in unprovoked violence.
