@Hestkuk Despite having a 40 foot wide hole from a torpedo, the USS Liberty did not sink. Even though Lyndon told the rear admiral that "I want that goddam thing on the bottom" in a phone call made to the POTUS . Ironically it was a Russian spy boat that saved the Liberty by showing up.
