One person was rushed to the hospital after reportedly falling from a bucket truck that caught fire on Tuesday, March 3.

Emergency officials said the person who fell from the truck was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The incident happened on Evangeline Street near North Foster Drive.

According to the Baton Rouge Fire Department, a mechanical failure caused the fire in the bucket.

The Baton Rouge Police Department responded to the scene.

Me personally id have gone up the crane from the ground with an extinguisher strapped on, fight the fire from the main lift beam, you can't leave a guy up there like that

That was two separate incidents, the first guy fell to the ground. Too much boiling hydraulic fluid to hang around.

@TheYncAteMyBalls Yeah maybe but you'd think he'd catch on fire, maybe it was just hot, that the hoses burn rendering it immobile
but a search says some is made to be fire resistant while others are quite flammable when exposed to open flame
