 The Connecticut Office of Inspector General released body camera footage as it continues to investigate a Hartford police shooting that officers said involved a man in a mental health crisis on Blue Hills Avenue.

 

Police identified the man who was shot as 55-year-old Steven Jones. He is currently in the intensive care unit after being shot at nine times.

 

Body cam video shows Taser deployments

Police arrived at Jones’ apartment on Friday after a family member dialed 911 to report an acute mental health crisis.

 

Body cam footage showed that when they arrived around 11 a.m., Jones was on the front stoop of his apartment holding the knife.
