A man, identified as Alexander E. , was lynched in southern Quito by a group of taxi drivers . His companion was also attacked with pipes .

 

According to initial reports, the two men allegedly stole a taxi . The owner had sent a message alerting his colleagues, who then organized an operation and located the vehicle.

 

Once located, they surrounded the taxi and assaulted its occupants . The alleged owner of the taxi arrived at the scene, identified them as the suspected thieves, and the aggression escalated.
