Jaguar crashes into Florida school bus, ends up wedged underneath

SAN CARLOS PARK, Fla. — Terrifying video shows the moment a car failed to slow down, crashing into a Florida school bus and getting wedged underneath.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office and the San Carlos Park Fire Protection & Rescue Service District say they responded to a crash before 9 a.m. Wednesday morning at the intersection of Whispering Pine and US-41 in San Carlos Park, Fla.

According to a video released by deputies, a Jaguar F-Type car slammed into the rear of the school bus, close to a school bus stop. As a result, it ended up wedged underneath it. Deputies and fire rescue crews noted that there were no kids on the bus at the time of the accident.

Deputies cited the driver of the Jaguar for following the bus too closely.

Both the driver and school bus operator sustained minor injuries. The bus driver was taken to a local hospital.
