Multiple large wildfires are burning across northwestern and western Oklahoma, with over 155,000 acres scorched in just one day Yahoo+1. The Ranger Road Fire in Beaver County is the largest, consuming at least 145,000 acres and moving under extreme wind gusts over 65 mph Yahoo+1. It has crossed into Kansas, where it is now burning in Englewood and Ashland

Happens all the time in the prairie areas. It's why on I-44 between the Mo/Ok line all the way into Tulsa you see signs that
say "Do not drive into the smoke".
