According to Grand Island Police Department officials, around the time West Lawn Elementary School dismissed students, a small group from Grand Island Senior High gathered on College Street directly across from the school.
GIPD Division Chief Dean Elliott reported that while parents were collecting their children, a 54-year-old man driving past expressed support for ICE enforcement.
Elliott stated that one of the students apparently threw an object at the man's vehicle. The driver then stopped, exited his car, pursued the student who threw the item, and assaulted him. Several other students in the group subsequently attacked the 54-year-old man.
Authorities arrested the man on charges including child abuse, while a juvenile was cited for assault. A teacher from West Lawn Elementary reportedly stepped in to help break up the altercation before the protest march continued.

Shut the school down. Turn it into an ICE facility. Kick all those brown "students" out.
