I worked 911 for decades...we'd get a domestic, husband/boyfriend would be arrested because the female had obvious wounds.
Then, SHE would get mad at the officers for taking him to jail.
I didn't want him arrested...just for him to stop beating on me. Ummm that's why he's going to jail, so he won't beat on you.
Now, here's some information on domestic violence, shelters etc.
Officer would say you need to get away from him.
99.9% of the time she would say "but I love him".
