​Payton Shires, 24, was a trusted social worker for a 13-year-old boy, but behind closed doors, she was preying on him.

When the mother discovered the truth back in October 2023, Shires didn’t surrender, she loaded a gun. She drove straight to the victim’s house, planning to silence the family who exposed her secret.

She was sentenced in June 2024 and is now serving 5 years. She went from guardian to inmate in one night.
