This whole deportation effort is probably for nothing. All it takes is the next administration to not enforce and back to square one for nothing but for years of wasted energy and lost taxpayer dollars. The system becomes it's own joke when Presidents rescind everything the last administration's actions (ir lack-there-of). This effect inevitably leaves us treading in circles rather than progressing as a country.

30 years ago you couldn't go to a construction site, truss plant, or lumber yard in southern AZ and not find illegal aliens. Damn near all of the stick framed houses built from the mid 80's to now were framed by unskilled, underpaid, uninsured and desperate illegal aliens. Profits were enormous for builders like KB and Pulte Homes; kick-backs for county officials were rumored to be in the 6 figures (take Chuck Huckelberry in Pima county AZ. for instance). Inspectors from county and city governments new that the houses were trash, but they would take bribes, sometimes just bottles of tequila, and look the other way. Tens of thousands of garbage houses are showing signs of structural failure and will either be condemned at the financial expense of the homeowner, or fail catastrophically and possibly injure or kill the occupants. The situation is wrong and embarrassing.
