A 21-year-old man remains in hospital in a serious condition after reports of a disorder on Foundry Lane, Smethwick last night (26 May). A 19-year-old man and two 18-year-olds have been arrested on suspicion of wounding and remain in police custody. Officers attended the scene just before 9.30pm where there was a large gathering. They are carrying out CCTV enquiries and speaking to witnesses and are appealing to anyone with information to get in touch. A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We’re aware of footage being posted on social media and would ask people to not share this as we work through our investigation." A teenage boy was stabbed on Brighton seafront next to a crowded beach on bank holiday Monday, police have said. Sussex Police said it received reports of a large group of people fighting in the area of Shelter Hall food court, on Kings Road Arches, at about 21:30 BST. The victim, a boy from Surrey, was taken to hospital for treatment, where his injuries were confirmed to be superficial. Det Insp Jen Pietersen, of Brighton CID, said: "We know the beach was extremely crowded at the time of this incident and we're urging anyone who can assist in our inquiries to please come forward."
