ST. CHARLES, Ill. (WGN) — An investigation into a deadly shooting involving police and a chainsaw-wielding man in west suburban St. Charles late last year has found no wrongdoing on the part of the officers.

The shooting unfolded at around 8:45 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2024, inside the senior living facility River Glen of St. Charles, after authorities received a call about a man, who was later identified as 41-year-old Daniel Escalera, wielding a chainsaw as he entered the facility.

«They should have shouted an order to drop it or they'll tase him, then tased him if he tried to turn it on again. Instead, they tased him AFTER he turned the chainsaw on, making it so that he could have dropped it on himself, which is a lot more dangerous and harmful than being tased. Then they shoot him because shooting is all cops know. Cops can't do anything right. :getlost:

Of course the "investigation" that the cops did on the cops found no wrongdoing, they NEVER find any wrongdoing, not even when they shot a little autistic kid to death. »
