Colorado Springs Police Officer Shoots Female Suspect Along Buckskin Pass Drive

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Colorado Springs Police said they were called to the 5600 block of South Buckskin Pass Dr. on Dec. 17 around 2:58 p.m.
They said they received a call reporting a domestic disturbance where the caller said his ex-girlfriend was at his home, ringing the doorbell and knocking. The man also said his ex-girlfriend had a warrant out for her arrest.
Police said they knew of the suspect 43-year-old Kari Anstett before arriving at the home due to previous calls involving the man and Anstett. They also said Anstett was known to carry a gun.
They attempted to speak with the suspect as she walked around the male’s porch. As the officer walked up to the suspect, Anstett reportedly turned around, pointing a handgun at the officer trying to speak with her, and then at a second officer arriving at the home.
