The winner of the Russian Cup in track and field in the long jump Artem Chermoshansky received a serious injury during the competition in Cheboksary. The video of the incident could be seen on the Match! Arena TV channel.
Chermoshansky won the Russian Cup with a result of 8.03 m, defeating Daniil Chechela (8.01 m) and Yuri Ozhgibesov (7.94 m). During his next attempt, the 23-year-old athlete landed awkwardly and seriously injured his knee.
