I've never been to Ireland but I've been to a pub in Scotland and I can say without a doubt that their beer and pub atmosphere was far beyond any bar or club I've ever been to in the states. Not one single fight throughout the night, not one shitty glare. The beer was delicious and easy to drink and the strangers all behaved like friends. Even the construction of the pub made you feel at ease. In the club I worked at in the US I had to deal with multiple fights every night of every weekend, Friday through Sunday! It was a nightmare. I think one could find real friends in a pub, not so much in an American bar.»
