«I don't know why my earlier comment was removed. All I did was point out the factual reality that those chimps would eat that macaque. Chimps, like almost all the great apes, are omnivores. They will attack, kill, and eat anything that comes into their territory, or if they move into other chimp's or monkey's territory. They are vicious warmakers and will kill and cannibalize chimps from other groups. Their canines make short work of rendering flesh and bone, and even the babies get into the act, holding their hands out, begging their mothers to give them some meat. Which they do. All of this is well documented, so if it offended someone, blame nature, not the messenger.

Chimps & monkeys are extremely territorial & are competing for the same limited food so when either meet other animals they see as a threat they attack them to drive them off or kill them.
The Chimpanzees are literally sending a message to the monkeys.. "Come on our turf & this is what we'll do to you".. Just like some humans do, only with guns.!
Chimps are omnivores & they'll eat the shit out of anything they kill, that monkey is dinner as soon as it's done being used to send their message..
Think of it as multi-tasking... They're warning the monkeys while tenderising their meat.! ???? ????»
