The original video shows multiple students filming while a transgender-identifying student violently throws the female to the ground before hitting her several times, grabbing her hair, and using it to fling her side to side while screaming at her.
School officials in Tigard-Tualatin, a suburb southwest of Portland, say the incident is now under criminal investigation. The attacker was arrested and is facing assault charges, said Jennifer Massey, the public information officer for the Tualatin Police Department; the case was referred to the Washington County Juvenile Department.
