Police are investigating after a customer was caught on camera attacking a manager at a Powder Springs Dairy Queen on Tuesday. The city’s police department says it has identified the driver. “Our officers and detectives wasted no time getting to work. The Powder Springs Police Department said, “Here’s a friendly reminder: It’s okay to be frustrated. It’s okay to ask for a manager. It’s okay to request your order be fixed. It’s never okay to assault someone who is simply doing their job.”

A store clerk was caught on camera attempting to stop a robber from stealing from a northwest Atlanta gas station earlier this month. The video shows the clerk at the store located at 1400 Donald Lee Hollowell Pkwy. NW in a struggle with the man around 9:20 p.m. on July 12. According to the Atlanta Police Department, the man, who had been spotted taking items and putting them into a bag, was confronted by the store clerk. The video shows the two men in a physical struggle. The man was later seen walking westbound on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. The identity of the man involved in the struggle remains unknown. Authorities have not said what specific items were placed in the bag. It is unknown if anyone sustained injuries during the physical struggle. Police have not indicated whether the suspect was apprehended.

ATLANTA — Police body camera footage captured the moment UFC fighter Dustin Poirier was arrested at the airport in Atlanta. Officers responded to Delta gate D36 after receiving reports about a dispute between an intoxicated passenger, who was denied boarding Delta Flight DL1295 to Fort Lauderdale. Video shows an officer arriving at the gate, where he encounters Poirier, who is visibly agitated, yelling and cursing at Delta staff. Poirier can be seen calling the staff liars and using other expletives. When the officer asked if he was Dustin Poirier, the UFC fighter responded, "F*** you," and tried to fight him. "I'll fight you right now," Poirier told the officer, who declined the offer and began backing away from the fighter. "I don't want to fight," the officer responded. Poirier continued to taunt the officer, who is seen grabbing his taser gun. Other officers arrived on the scene, and after repeated verbal outbursts and an aggressive stance toward officers, "Poirier stated, "If you want to arrest me, then go ahead." "Arrest me. That's the best way, dog," Poirier said. He was taken into custody and transported to Clayton County Jail, where he was charged with public intoxication.

ATLANTA - A multi-agency manhunt ended Sunday morning when authorities tracked down and arrested a suspect wanted for a shooting that occurred on a transit train at the Midtown MARTA Station on Friday night. Members of the FBI AMMO Task Force, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Douglasville Police Department, Haralson County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol captured the suspect, identified as Anthony Tyrone Gresham, around 10 a.m. Sunday. The search began after a shooting occurred just after 7 p.m. Friday. MARTA officers patrolling inside the Midtown Station reported shots fired on a train that had stopped at the southbound platform. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot in his left arm and leg. Investigators discovered both the victim and the shooter paid their fares to enter the station before heading toward separate railcars. The two individuals made eye contact across the station, prompting the suspect to walk over to the victim's railcar and fire gunshots from the southbound platform, according to a statement released by MARTA police Saturday. A suspect wanted in connection with a Friday night shooting on a transit train at the Midtown MARTA Station has been arrested. Law enforcement officers tracked down the suspect on Lee Road before he ran into the woods, sparking a massive multi-agency search. The suspect faces several felony charges, including aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and is currently booked into jail.
