The video starts with Avery Samuels laying on a table being yelled at and slapped several times by a guy identified as ‘Camden’. Avery is drunk and cannot defend himself. Rakim Warfield (19) see’s what’s happening and defended his friend. Another boy jumps in and grabs and knees Rakim from behind as others sit by laughing and recording. The people at the party allegedly claimed Rakim was the aggressor and claimed he threatened them with a shǒt. Police searched his vehicle and home and no was ever found. He was charged with 2 counts of 1st degree assault, 2 counts of 2nd degree assault, and 2 counts of reckless endangerment. According to his father, Rakim has been offered a 25 year sentence (all but 5 years suspended). This video paints a completely different picture than the partygoers accounts of what happened. His father posted the video in hopes that with more public support, his son could get justice. He also asks for prayers during this extremely difficult time for his family. His father wrote ‘I didn’t wanna post this video but fck it is what it is this video is what they are holding my son for a fight when all he did was protect his homeboy matter of they wanna offer him 25yrs all suspended but 5yrs. There also trying to say he pull a shotgun out and threatened partygoer which is a lie because when the cops searched his car and my house they didn’t find a shotgun so it’s all a bunch of bullsh!t.’ Avery’s mother has stated her son tried to press charges against Camden but those charges were not picked up by the state. Now that they have the video she has sent it to the DA and hopes that charges can be brought against the true criminals in this situation. This young man should be labeled a hero for standing up for his friend who could not defend himself, instead he is painted as the villain. This is unacceptable! Little Rock, AR - Little Rock police this week released an incident report and body camera footage from an officer's May encounter with a homeless man in which she asked him if he has "a problem with white people." The officer, identified in the report as Katelyn Brewer, encountered the man, identified as Clifton Shelton, 26, on May 15. Brewer's report states that Shelton balled up his fist like he was going to hit a man working on a car near a curb, but that's not clearly visible in her body camera footage. The footage does pick up Brewer asking Shelton, "You wanna fight? An Arkansas trooper was usspnhurt after using a PIT maneuver earlier this month to stop a suspect trying to free a traffic stop, leading to a crash that seriously injured an elderly couple. The incident happened at about 7 p.m. Aug. 5 when an Arkansas State Police tried to pull over a driver for a traffic violation along Interstate 55 in Truman, the department stated in a news release. The driver, later identified as Laloyd L. Hamilton III, refused to stop and sped away at roughly 130 mph. During the pursuit, the trooper performed a PIT maneuver to stop Hamilton's car, which overturned and flipped into another vehicle. The collision seriously injured a 73-year-old man and a 68-year-old man in the other vehicle, and they were rushed to the hopsital. Hamilton also was taken to the hospital because of injuries suffered in the crash. The trooper was injured in the incident. A search of Hamilton's car uncovered a variety of drugs, including marijuana and an unknown liquid substance. The suspect was arrested, and he faces several charges, including felony fleeing, second-degree battery, possession with purpose to deliver a controlled substance, driving while intoxicated and other counts. Lindsey Galloway of Little Rock, Arkansas, found her car unable to function after leaving her man’s apartment. Officers noticed tire marks and scratches along the wall and where her car was parked. Manila, AR - Newly released footage of an officer tackling an 18-year-old Black woman to the ground and punching her in the head after a traffic stop in Arkansas is causing anger and demands for a use-of-force investigation. Alisa Hackett, of Osceola, Arkansas, was pulled over on State Highway 18 near Manila at about 10:45 p.m. on Aug. 1 after she was seen driving 71 mph in a 60-mph zone with the vehicle's hazard lights on, according to an Arkansas State Police report of the incident. When she was pulled over, Hackett told state trooper Moisses Arellano she was rushing home because her car's window had broken, according to the police report. Arellano noted that Hackett was not wearing her seat belt, had her license plate covered, and had a cold bottle of liquor in the front seat, according to the police report. In the dashcam footage, Arellano can be heard saying, "Why do you have a Tito's bottle, you're not even 21?" Later in the footage, Arellano acknowledges the bottle was sealed. Arellano described Hackett as "being difficult" when he issued her citations, according to the report. He then called another trooper who said Hackett had been pulled over for speeding "a few days earlier" and had an open alcohol container in her vehicle, but was let go with a warning. The other trooper is heard in the footage telling Arellano, "Well, she got an attitude, take her ass to jail." Arellano then decided to arrest Hackett, who is 5-foot-1 and 118 pounds, and asked her to step out of the car, according to the report. After initially complying, "she began turning around and repeatedly asked what she had done," the police report said, adding she continued to pull away from the officer and he "took her to the ground." "After giving multiple commands for her to roll over without compliance, I delivered one closed-fist strike to the left side of her face in an attempt to gain compliance," Arellano wrote in the report. "After the strike, she continued resisting by pulling her wrists away and refusing to roll over." He pointed a stun gun at her midsection, but did not fire, and she then complied in putting her hands behind her back, and she was arrested, the report said. A Jonesboro police officer was bitten by his department’s K9 while trying to help the dog over a fence during a suspect’s arrest Sunday. Craighead County District Judge Tommy Fowler found probable cause to charge Jerry Cornealious Brown with fleeing, possession of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license, failure to appear, an out-of-town warrant and reckless driving. On Sunday, June 7, at 8:17 a.m., a Jonesboro police officer conducted a vehicle stop on South Culberhouse Street when the driver quickly left near the Burke Avenue and South Culberhouse Street area. “Officers noted observing the vehicle run stops signs and going around another vehicle at ahigh rate of speed with disregard to public safety in [the] residential area,” the affidavit stated. Police went to Nisbett Street after learning the vehicle was registered to someone on that street. When they arrived, police saw the vehicle parked in a gravel parking lot behind an apartment. Eyewitnesses told police that Brown was seen running from the area. Police arrested Brown shortly after finding him. The affidavit also Brown had .088 ounces of suspected marijuana in his pocket. “Officers also noted Brown making the statement he believed he had a warrant as a reason for fleeing,” the affidavit added. During an area search where the arrest happened, Jonesboro K9 Officer Rocky scaled a fence. Jonesboro Police Officer Zach Hobbs tried lifting Rocky back over to his side of the fence. The dog may have been scraped and yelped during that attempt and began biting Officer Hobbs, according to a police release. Officer Hobbs suffered multiple bite wounds to both arms and his upper right thigh before going to a local hospital. On Monday, June 8, Officer Hobbs and Rocky reunited. Rocky was happy to see him, according to the release. Fowler set Brown’s bond at $50,000 cash surety. A toddler miraculously walked away from a rollover crash in Arkansas after his mother was seen on video leading police on a chase when she allegedly refused to pull over for speeding. Arkansas State Police (ASP) said the crash happened May 2 in Mississippi County after a trooper attempted to stop a Dodge Charger in Joiner. Authorities said the driver refused to pull over, forcing the trooper to use a PIT maneuver. The vehicle then spun out of control and flipped onto its roof. As troopers waited for backup, the driver was seen opening the car door and helping her crying 3-year-old son out of the wreckage. “You’re okay, come right here baby, come right here,” a state trooper is heard saying in bodycam video. Moments later, the mother crawled out of the overturned vehicle. Police said both the boy and his mother were medically cleared at the scene. The child was later released to another adult. The City of Osceola, Arkansas, is investigating after a video allegedly shows the Osceola Police Chief assaulting a paraplegic man in a wheelchair. In a video Chief Bobby Ephlin appears to be slapping a man in a wheelchair on the street and putting the man in a headlock. Danarius Williams was the man in the wheelchair in that video. Police were called to the Hyatt Apartments on Monday for a reported incident involving the son and wife of Williams being threatened by an armed party. “He smacked me, he smacked the hell out of me and then choked me. You came behind me in a chair,” said Williams. “I’m a paraplegic, can’t feel anything can’t do anything from belly button down.” Williams admits he used a “few cuss words,” telling the chief, “‘Get your F -ing hands off me, get your finger up out of my face,’ because he had his finger in my face, and just like any other person, when you put your finger in someone’s face, what you do, you fan. I didn’t touch him.
