The City of Osceola, Arkansas, is investigating after a video allegedly shows the Osceola Police Chief assaulting a paraplegic man in a wheelchair. In a video Chief Bobby Ephlin appears to be slapping a man in a wheelchair on the street and putting the man in a headlock. Danarius Williams was the man in the wheelchair in that video. Police were called to the Hyatt Apartments on Monday for a reported incident involving the son and wife of Williams being threatened by an armed party. “He smacked me, he smacked the hell out of me and then choked me. You came behind me in a chair,” said Williams. “I’m a paraplegic, can’t feel anything can’t do anything from belly button down.” Williams admits he used a “few cuss words,” telling the chief, “‘Get your F -ing hands off me, get your finger up out of my face,’ because he had his finger in my face, and just like any other person, when you put your finger in someone’s face, what you do, you fan. I didn’t touch him. Arkansas State Police end pursuit w/ 105 MPH PIT Maneuver on wanted felon. Ms. Hughes was cleared by medical personnel on scene and released without charges. During the search of the vehicle, a cell phone and a wallet were found on the ground next to the car; they belonged to the man (Derek Zamora) who had fled. The Saline County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist with both a K9 unit and a drone. Arkansas State Police have confirmed the charges of the 4 people who were arrested after a fight broke out at a protest held at the Governor's Mansion. The fight broke out after Governor Sarah Sanders and Turning Point USA Chairwoman Erika Kirk held a press conference in the building. Videos taken by bystanders appear to show protestors clashing with people as they left the Governor's Mansion. Two of the people arrested have been charged with Battery in the Second Degree after they injured members of the Executive Protection Detail in the scuffle, State Police confirmed. The third was arrested for Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Governmental Operations, both of which are misdemeanor charges.
