This is happening in Jacksonville, Florida at a 55+ community. A 28-year-old girl was living there with her father who was ill when he passed. He gave the home to his daughter, and she wants to remain living in the community.. well the HOA has decided to enforce the 55 and over law, and is asking for $1000 from 155 members in the community to sue her to get her out of the neighborhood because she’s 28 years old, not 55+. In my opinion, this is despicable. These HOA‘s have way too much power. After the trooper found out that her Florida driver’s license was suspended, she drove away. After Cruz was stopped again, she refused to hand over her keys, telling the trooper she was “ready to fight.” When one of the troopers tried to grab her keys, Cruz punched her in the face, causing injuries to her nose and fingers. Cruz continued to refuse to comply with law enforcement, and while being escorted to the patrol car, she tried to kick the same trooper she had punched earlier. Later, when officers tried to secure her in the patrol vehicle, she kicked an ICE officer. Cruz arrested and transported to jail and later released on bail.
