Police are searching for an ATV driver who ran over a Kansas City officer and left him with critical head injuries

Kansas PD said the ATV driver tried to avoid tire deflation devices

The driver popped a wheelie and hit the officer who deployed the devices

The officer fell to the ground and was run over by the ATV driver

The officer sustained a critical head injury and was hospitalized

KCPD says he's expected to make a full recovery
