In the video released Thursday, the LMPD cruiser can be seen coming down Fern Valley Road, continuing straight as the other vehicle turns into the cruiser.On Thursday, the Louisville Metro Police Department released the dashcam video showing a deadly crash on Fern Valley Road involving an officer.

The crash happened on April 2 around 9 p.m. Before the crash, officers were called to assist EMS on the expressway at I-65 and the Watterson. While en route, LMPD Officer Alyssa Begel was involved in a crash. While Begel was responding, a car driven by 61-year-old Charles Briscoe turned in front of her, and the two vehicles collided. Briscoe died at the scene.
