A man armed with a knife broke into a Christian church in Higüey , injuring several parishioners. The incident occurred during a worship service, when the attacker tried to attack the worshiper who was at the altar.
According to witnesses, the man stormed into the church and tried to attack the worshipper, but was stopped by other members of the congregation. Despite the quick intervention, several parishioners were injured, although there were no fatalities.
The identity of the attacker and his motives for committing the attack are still unknown. Authorities are investigating the incident to clarify what happened and determine who is responsible.
