Two correction officers were stabbed; one 12 times in the back and another in the head.

Three Massachusetts inmates charged after a brutal attack on five correction officers at Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center.

One officer was stabbed 12 times in the back, and another in the head; three others were injured while responding.

The inmates were identified as Jose R. Crespo, Heriberto Rivera-Negron, and Jeffrey Tapia.

They face charges including mayhem, armed assault to murder, and assault to murder.

«Can't really blame em, coppers in the us are corrupt to to bottom and these prison guards are just as bad. Prison can be a really wicked enviroment and these coppers usually let it be that way or even encourage it for their own self interests.»

Correctional officers never leave the jail unless transporting inmates law-enforcement Very rarely will enter a jail Most of the time perhaps are handed off to correctional officers while the law-enforcement officer does the paperwork»

Crespo, who is serving four concurrent life sentences for the 2016 murder of Kevin Cabrera-Soto of Fitchburg, will be arraigned Oct. 11 on the new charges.
Tapia, who is serving a life sentence in connection to a 2017 fatal shooting in Lawrence, will be arraigned Oct. 15.
Rivera-Negron will be arraigned Oct. 10.
