Kenny was born the product of decades of inbreeding as all white tigers in captivity are descendant from one male tiger caught in the wild 50 years ago. Especially tragic in Kenny's case was that his parents were siblings. As such he was born with a cleft palate, a severe underbite and mental deficiencies along with other congenital abnormalities. He died riddled with cancer at half the normal age.
