San Francisco 49ers first-round pick Ricky Pearsall was shot during an attempted robbery in San Francisco.

Pearsall, who is a rookie wide receiver, was shot in Union Square.

According to the San Francisco Police Department, a physical altercation took place after the thug tried robbing Pearsall.

The suspect then shot Pearsall.

Both the suspect, who apparently shot themself on accident, and Pearsall were sent to the hospital.

The NFL rookie is reportedly in stable condition.
