«The bill does NOT say "to purchase children for sex". It's for Soliciting a Minor. It's stating an 18 yr old can be sentenced to 4 years in prison just for asking a 17 yr old to provide sex for payment. "Asking". Not having sex, not touching, just asking. Plus, no one in this video freaked out' They over-represented in the criminal justice system only want to be treated fairly. I mean, it's america, right?»

The whole point of them speaking out is that LGBT people are penalized MORE frequently and harshly than straight people WHO COMMIT THE SAME CRIMES.

They said the bill does NOT address the root cause of the issue but focuses instead on punishment that they fear WILL TARGET marginalized communities more heavily than non-marginalized communities FOR THE SAME CRIMES.

«Where is the "freak out"? None of them expressed opposition to making it a felony to "purchase children for sex", but they clearly express opposition to specific punitive measures that they clearly state penalize LGBT and black criminals more harshly than straight and caucasian counterparts (meaning a straight white person convicted of the SAME CRIME receives a lesser sentence).

Also, how do the opinions of the 3 people who spoke reflect the entire LGBT community? Do those 3 people speak for everybody?
