In an armed confrontation, a security guard and an alleged assailant died in a failed robbery attempt inside a pharmacy located in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
According to a police report, the incident occurred after a man traveling in a taxi entered the premises shooting at the guard, who, seriously wounded, repelled the attack, mortally wounding the alleged criminal, thus managing to thwart the assault.
According to a video from the pharmacy's security camera, only one subject was traveling in a tourist taxi that was parked in front of the pharmacy.
Both involved in the confrontation suffered serious injuries that caused immediate death.
The inert bodies of the two men were left lying inside the establishment.
Until now, the name of both victims of the violent event that has shocked people passing through the sector is unknown.
Police authorities have indicated that they will continue with the investigations to determine the motives behind the crime and whether the urban transport vehicle was reported stolen or belonged to the alleged assailant.
