On the cold night of Saturday, February 17, a food establishment in Las Orquídeas, north of Guayaquil, became the scene of a violent attack that left a man lifeless, generating a lot of panic among customers and workers present.
At approximately 11:10 p.m., just before curfew, a man arrived at the scene in a vehicle accompanied by a woman. While they were walking along the sidewalk outside the establishment, they were surprised by an attacker who ambushed them and shot them multiple times. After the violent episode, the aggressor and an accomplice quickly fled on a motorcycle, leaving behind the victim lying on the sidewalk.
