Upon approaching the driver's side, I encountered a female driver, Ms. Adrienne Zalewski-Cerreto, from Galloway Township. I informed Ms. Cerreto that my Body-Worn Camera was recording. When questioned about her driving, she responded with, "you know." She followed this statement by mentioning that she had been working all day and seemed to be tired. After some additional questioning, she confirmed that she had been drinking. From the beginning of our interaction, I detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle. I also noticed watery, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech from Ms. Cerreto. Given these observations and the smell, I asked her if she had consumed alcohol that night. Ms. Cerreto nodded and stated that she hadn't traveled far. When asked about her weaving on the road, she admitted to noticing it. I then returned to my patrol vehicle to discuss the situation with Ptl. Grundtisch. Upon returning to my patrol vehicle, I informed Ptl. Grundtisch that I needed him to conduct the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test. He then directed my attention to the front passenger quarter panel of the Honda Civic, pointing out some damage. I was unsure if it was related to the current situation. After examining the damage, I asked Ms. Cerreto if she had hit anything. Her response was, "I don't think so." She added that it was a beater car and that the damage had been there prior to that night. I instructed her to step out of the vehicle for Field Sobriety Tests, to which she replied, "you know it's not going to go well." Once she exited the vehicle, she met Ptl. Grundtisch at the rear of her car. He then administered the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test (refer to Ptl. Grundtisch's supplementary report for his findings). After Ptl. Grundtisch completed his testing, I proceeded with two more Standard Field Sobriety Tests: the walk and turn and the one-legged stand. Throughout the tests, I continued to detect the smell of alcohol emanating from Ms. Cerreto. Ms. Cerreto was seated inside their headquarters and the 20 Minute observation started for the Alco Test Machine. I read the Standard Statement form and Ms. Cerreto agreed to give breath samples. Her BAC was .13%.
