Materials and methods: Using data from SEER, we analyzed the incidence of brain tumors, bone tumors, and mesotheliomas from 1973-1993 and the possible relationship of these tumors with the administration of the SV40 contaminated vaccine.

Results: Our analysis indicates increased rates of ependymomas (37%), osteogenic sarcomas (26%), other bone tumors (34%) and mesothelioma (90%) among those in the exposed as compared to the unexposed birth cohort.

Conclusions: These data suggest that there may be an increased incidence of certain cancers among the 98 million persons exposed to contaminated polio vaccine in the U.S.; further investigations are clearly justified.

«Your question "Why was SV40, a cancer causing sequence, put in the Covid Vaccine?" is a half-baked jumble of ignorance. SV40 is a virus, not a cancer causing sequence. A protein coat, genetic material, various other proteins involved in structure and propagation. And in it is inside that genetic material that there may be code for a sequence that might causes cancer.
Vaccines are engineered from scratch using genetic material, proteins and other material that trigger an immune response in the host. Some of this genetic material may be borrowed from existing DNA or RNA to perform a specific function, like inhibit a part of the chain necessary to replicate the virus. Sequences from SV40 may have been involved in the production of some Covid vaccines. These statements themselves do not provide causality. Perhaps you could provide a link to substantiate your claims.
Here are a couple links that provide more information. I find interesting the evidence that early Polio vaccines were contaminated with SV40 by using monkey kidneys in its manufacture, then went on to cause some rare cancers.
