Niagara Falls Police Release Video of Suspect who was Shot after Stabbing Officer

<p>NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — Niagara Falls police responded to a domestic call about a suspicious person near the intersection of Niagara Falls Boulevard and 80th Street Friday, where a responding officer was later stabbed, according to the department.</p>
<p>Police approached the suspect, who was later identified as Reginald Barnes, 29, behind an area Rite Aid shortly after 5 p.m. According to the NFPD, as the suspect tried to get away, officers used a stun gun on him, but to no avail.</p>
<p>On Tuesday, Niagara Falls police released a body camera video:</p>
<p>The officer who was stabbed was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries to his back and arm.</p>
<p>Barnes was also taken to a local hospital, where as of Tuesday, he remains in critical condition. Two officers are on administrative leave as police continue their investigation.</p>
