Police Shoot Suicide Bomb Suspect In Southern Turkey

<p>ANKARA, May 26 - Turkish police on Thursday shot a suicide bomb suspect in front of the police department of Gaziantep city in southern Turkey, the semi-official Anadolu Agency reported.</p>
<p>The person stated "there is a bomb on me" and he would "explode himself," showing his vest and a remoter, the agency reported.</p>
<p>He "attempted to attack" and was "neutralized" with wounds, the Governor of Gaziantep Province Davut Gul tweeted.</p>
<p>The suspect had many criminal records, the governor added.</p>
<p>The road where the incident happened was cordoned off to avoid a possibility of suicide bombing, the local Demiroren News Agency reported.</p>
