<p>Via Daily Mail: A crew of Canadian filmmakers in San Francisco was beaten and robbed of more than $35,000 in equipment in a brazen daylight attack near the Twin Peaks hiking area on Friday, according to shocking footage of the incident online. San Francisco Police Department responded to the scene just after the incident took place at around 5:40 p.m. in one of the parking pull-outs just in between the two peaks, also known as 'Eureka' and 'Noe'. A 49-second video posted on Instagram shows two suspects wearing a black ski mask and a red hoodie pull up in an Infiniti sedan behind an SUV parked next to one of the peaks along the scenic road. One of the burglars jumps out from the vehicle and strikes one of the members of the film crew from behind by surprise as the victim was visibly looking for something in his car's trunk that also contained film equipment. He was grabbed by the arm and forcibly moved next to the SUV before being told to lie on the ground. Another man wearing a red hoodie came out a with a gun and points it at another victim, who was also told to lay low while the robbers filled up their car with the film crew's equipment. Residents have identified the Twin Peaks area as a hotspot for robberies, telling KPIX that car break-ins have been a problem in recent months. According to San Francisco's latest crime data, robberies are the only crime category that has gone down - by 9.5 percent - compared to the same period of time in 2021.
