<p>“Ready, prepare, fire!”, is heard in a video recorded this Wednesday in a battalion in the municipality of Patía, in Cauca. Then a detonation is heard that left five soldiers wounded.</p>
<p>The events occurred in the Instruction Battalion of Patia. The Army’s Third Division pointed out that in the place shooting training exercises and tests of the artillery system were carried out.</p>
<p>The preliminary version indicates that there was a failure when firing a howitzer. Among the wounded soldiers there is one affected by a shrapnel in one ankle and another by stunning.</p>
<p>The Army added that the affected soldiers were taken to the El Bordo hospital, where they are being treated, and that their injuries they are not serious.</p>
<p>“At this time, an inspection commission sent by the National Army Command is on the move, with a team of experts, who will verify the processes and procedures carried out in this exercise,” the official statement points out.</p>
