During the exam, doctors used fluorescein — a special dye commonly used in ophthalmology to help detect scratches, injuries, or other issues on the cornea and surface of the eye. Normally, it is a simple medical procedure. But this time, one tiny detail changed everything. Margerita forgot to remove her contact lenses. When the dye was applied, the material of the lenses immediately absorbed it.
