On February 23, 2026, at Lakeview Shock Incarceration Correctional Facility in Brocton, New York, 34-year-old inmate J’Kendric Agee launched an unprovoked attack on a female civilian counselor during a classroom program, then turned on corrections officers who rushed in to help. The New York State Department of Corrections released security footage of the assault. Agee was indicted on two counts of second-degree assault. He has pleaded not guilty and is being held on $250,000 cash bail. He was also transferred to Attica Correctional Facility ahead of his next court date.
