A man in Columbus, Ohio, who appeared to be trying to lose the police ended up losing his pants after he ran the bicycle he was riding into a fence. Footage recorded by Mikelle Smith's home security camera in Columbus shows the man riding a bicycle straight into Smith's backyard fence. As the bike hits the fence, the man goes headlong over it and his pants get caught on the top. The man stands up, still with his pants down, and runs out of the frame of the camera as two police officers exit their patrol car, jump over the fence, and follow the man. One of the officers also falls on his way over the fence. "I couldn't believe what I was seeing," Smith said. TOLEDO, Ohio — A 26-year-old from Maumee was injured after being struck by a vehicle early Saturday in downtown Toledo, according to police. The crash happened around 12:44 a.m. in the 600 block of Monroe Street. Investigators said the person was crossing Monroe Street when they were struck by a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old. The pedestrian landed near 619 Monroe St. and was taken for medical treatment. Four passengers were inside the vehicle: a 20-year-old, a 15-year-old, a 16-year-old and a 19-year-old, according to the police report. The report does not indicate that the driver or passengers were injured. No arrests or charges were listed. WALNUT HILLS, Ohio - One person is dead and one person has been arrested after a shooting in Walnut Hills on Tuesday. A man was shot outside the Kemper Apartments on Kemper Lane near McMillan after noon. He was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. He was then identified as 47-year-old Gregory Taylor-Tolliver. A second person was taken to the hospital for evaluation. Latisa Perryman’s 20-year-old son, Jarvis Perryman, was shot to death in Euclid Beach Park in Cleveland by Christopher Manning, who pleaded guilty last week. Latisa said to Judge Steven Gall, “I told him it had to be a life in there, because that’s… my son’s life is gone. Why would we do 25 to 32? Adamu Williams, 25, allegedly punched, pistol-whipped, and strangled his girlfriend until she passed out after going through her phone. The next day, Williams drove her against her will around with a gun in his lap, looking for “a place to shoot her.” Williams then led police on a chase, and when his girlfriend escaped, Williams fired multiple shots at her. Williams was arrested for 19 charges, including kidnapping, resisting arrest, and assault. Columbus, OH - The Columbus Division of Police released body camera video showing the moments before and during the fatal shooting of a man by two officers as they responded to a domestic violence call Tuesday night. According to police, officers were called to the 800 block of Wilson Avenue near East Livingston Avenue around 11:55 p.m. on a domestic violence call. The caller told dispatchers that a man assaulted a female and said he was going to get a firearm. As officers arrived and began walking toward the home, police said they heard multiple gunshots and saw a man, later identified as 33-year-old Isawan Foster, discharging a firearm. Bodycam video released by Columbus police shows around 11:58 p.m., two gunshots are fired, and a voice shouts "Oh" multiple times. Police said Foster was armed with a gun, as the video shows him firing shots toward the building while backing out from an entryway. "Hey," the officer wearing the body camera can be heard saying before he and the other officer fire dozens of shots at Foster lasting about five seconds. The time elapsed from the first gunshot fired to the end of the officer's gunfire is about 10 seconds. The video shows Foster lying on the ground after the gunfire ends. The officer wearing the bodycam begins reloading his gun and then yells, "He's still up." The other officer can be heard saying, "Do not (expletive) move." Officers rendered aid to him until medics arrived. Foster was transported in critical condition to Grant Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. A firearm was recovered at the scene. Police previously said it’s not clear who or what Foster was shooting at as the officers were approaching.
