Anyone who follows me knows I’m certainly not shy about calling the police out when they get it wrong, but fair is fair, and what this video appears to show is absolutely disgusting. Officers are dealing with a chaotic street incident in which a man can be seen with serious facial injuries. Then, while they’re trying to bring the situation under control, a woman appears to walk straight up and strike an officer across the face. What did she honestly expect to happen next? A polite handshake and a lift home? She continues to resist as officers restrain, handcuff and take her to the police van. Whatever your opinion of the police, nobody should be assaulted simply for doing their job. We rightly demand accountability from officers, and that same accountability must apply to members of the public. This Rabid Responder in San Diego yells and screams at ICE agents telling them, "You can't tell me what to do! What are you going to do arrest me?" Daytona Beach, Florida — Deputies received a tip about a couple being drunk and asleep in the sand. They found 27-year-olds Alyssia Langley and her fiance, Timothy Stephens passed out on the beach with several empty beer cans and an empty bottle of Crown Royal surrounding them. The couple had children’s toys around them, so when deputies were eventually able to wake the couple they asked where the children were, but they didn't seem to have a clue. At one point, the father calls out for the children at the water's edge. Deputies were able to determine their children, ages 5 and 7, were not in the ocean, but found them swimming in the pool of the hotel they were staying in. Stephens is not the biological father of the children, but Langley said he shares the responsibility of caring for them with her, therefore making him a legal guardian. The kids referred to him as “dad” and “other daddy.” Both Stephens and Langley were arrested and placed in handcuffs and began arguing with one another. At one point, Stephens runs away from the deputies and at least one chases after him. He runs a short distance before smacking into the sand and appearing to be unconscious. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation and released to the Volusia County jail hours after. Stephens faced charges of child neglect, alcohol possession and attempt to escape custody.
