Police were called to reports of trouble in a major Birmingham road with youths smashing up a car.
A video posted online shows several young men targeting a black Seat Leon in Ladypool Road in Sparkbrook on Friday (November 28) night).
The car is blocked going along the road shortly before 11pm, near its junction with Clifton Road, with a Pepe’s takeaway seen in the background.
Scuffles are seen between people in the car and those outside.
One outside the car reaches in on the rear passenger side, before the passenger slams the door shut.
Another on the outside opens the rear driver’s side door before being struck and hobbling away.
One appears to have a chain and another with a crutch in one hand and striking the car with an orange pole-like object in the other.
The windscreen of the Seat has been smashed and there is broken glass in the road.
The car driver reverses towards Clifton Road while under attack but then drives forward down Ladypool Road to where the car was first set upon.
The driver repeats the reversing manoeuvre twice more also going forward while the vehicle is being attacked.
Horns blare in the background before the driver reverses again and heads the opposite way down Ladypool Road, along part of Birmingham known as the ‘Balti Traingle’.
Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident.
