The Fresno Police Department released a Critical Incident Video to provide information on a Use of Force incident.
It happened on Wednesday, August 20th, when officers responded to the report of a shooting at River Park Shopping Center in Fresno.
When they arrived at the scene, they found a man running away from the area towards a nearby Sam's Club while holding hiThey were able to secure his gun and take the man, identified as 18-year-old George Ruiz, into custody.

Officers went after him and eventually found him outside the store, where an officer hit him with their patrol car.
He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment and was arrested after being released.
Police say no one else was hurt.
Detectives found out the man was involved in a disturbance with someone in another vehicle driving nearby when he fired multiple shots, striking it as it drove towards Blackstone Avenue and left.
The driver of that vehicle returned to the scene a short time after and spoke with officers.
