«I’m a certified arborist. I think he used a ratchet tie down strap instead of an actual rope made for tree work because he didn’t have any help pulling on a rope to make it fall the direction he wanted so he used the ratchet to pull super hard on the tree (also creating lots of tension which caused the snap) or he didn’t have an actual tree work rope. The metal “ding” or “clang” I believe is caused by the actual metal ratchet hitting the tree and then the sawyer or hitting the sawyers saw.»

The cable was wrapped in caution tape. There's a road sign in the direction of the cable. Looks like he had a vehicle pull the tree but the tree only fell so far and the cable maxed out before snapping.
Curious what the front looks like. Split right up the middle and hit in the head?»
